Serhii Viacheslavovych Tkachenko
Chief Veterinarian and owner of ELITVET Veterinary Hospital
Veterinarian, orthopaedic and trauma surgeon, neurosurgeon, dentist.
About the doctor
The history of ELITVET is closely linked to Serhii Viacheslavovych. In 2004, he began private practice in a small veterinary consulting room. Since then, the clinic’s capabilities have evolved, new equipment has been introduced and the team has grown. The goal has remained the same: to help animals and be veterinarians whom owners can trust with those they cherish most.
Today, Serhii Viacheslavovych leads the hospital and continues to practise: seeing patients, performing surgery and managing complex cases. His main areas of practice are orthopaedics, traumatology, neurosurgery and dentistry.
Behind every diagnosis is a story: a dog that finds walking painful, a cat that refuses food because of toothache, a family anxiously awaiting surgery. That is why both the precision of treatment and the well-being of patients and their owners throughout the process matter to us. Serhii Viacheslavovych supports this approach in the team’s daily work.
Professional activities
Since 2021, Serhii Viacheslavovych has headed the Ukrainian Veterinary Dental Association (UVDA) and has been a board member of OrthoPets, the Association of Veterinary Orthopaedic Surgeons and Neurosurgeons of Ukraine.
He has been a member of the Association of Veterinary Medicine Specialists of Ukraine (USAWA) since 2004.
He organises professional events and attends conferences and practical seminars in Ukraine and abroad. He continues learning, shares his experience with colleagues and promotes the introduction of modern diagnostic and treatment methods into veterinary practice.
Education and experience
He began his path into the profession by studying Veterinary Medicine at Novomoskovsk State Farm Technical College in 1993–1996.
In 2001, he graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University.
From 2001 to 2004, he worked in the epizootic disease department of the state veterinary service of Dnipropetrovsk Region.
He has been in private veterinary practice since 2004.
Behind the years of work, study and professional achievements lies the daily work of a veterinarian. Its greatest reward is seeing a patient recover and return home to their family.
