About the doctor
Daniil Kostiantynovych Semenov combines surgical practice with teaching and research. His main areas of practice are soft tissue surgery, dentistry, endoscopy and diagnostic radiology for dogs and cats.
He joined the ELITVET team in 2019 as a veterinary assistant. Working alongside experienced colleagues laid the foundation for his further professional development. Since 2024, he has worked as a surgeon at the hospital.
He performs surgery on abdominal and thoracic organs and provides surgical treatment for tumours, hernias and certain vascular anomalies. He uses endoscopic techniques for examinations, biopsies and foreign body removal. He places particular emphasis on preoperative diagnostics, performing radiographic examinations and interpreting images to make informed decisions about further treatment.
Daniil Kostiantynovych has a particular professional interest in veterinary dentistry. He treats periodontal disease, inflammatory conditions of the oral cavity, injuries and other dental conditions. He provides comprehensive dental examinations and treatment, complex tooth extractions, root canal treatment and reconstructive oral surgery. He trained in veterinary dentistry under Serhii Viacheslavovych Tkachenko.
In 2024, he graduated from Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University with a master’s degree in veterinary medicine. Since then, he has combined clinical work with teaching in the Department of Animal Anatomy, Histology and Pathomorphology. Since 2025, he has been pursuing doctoral studies, researching morphofunctional changes in bone tissue in animals with chronic periodontitis. He has authored scientific publications in Ukrainian and international journals and presents at professional conferences.
His work is guided by current clinical recommendations, thorough examination and an individual approach to treatment planning. He strives to handle tissues gently and pays attention to pain management and patient recovery. He believes owners should understand the purpose of proposed examinations, the available treatment options and each next step.
